Taunton Disco - DJ Profiles
Mark
Mark started as a DJ when he was a teenager primarily playing to his peers and in local pubs in the Bristol area until his late teens. As with most people he then went out and got himself a full time job progressing through various aspects of engineering and IT and eventually founding his own engineering company in the early 90’s.
In 2000 Mark sold his engineering company and took up an early retirement but because of his business expertise, attention to detail and passion for music his hobby had become bigger than the sum of its parts. It is now a thriving business in its own right with an enviable reputation in the South West offering affordable quality entertainment.
Ash C
Ash C or Cottam as he is known to the crew is a tireless contributor with a real talent for classic party music. If you are looking for a DJ with a real gift for party cheese and some good old Rock & Roll he is your man. He always throws in a tune that you haven’t heard for years and wished you had thought of playing.
An experienced all rounder Ash is an ideal choice for mixed age groups and family parties offering and understated charm to any event. Please be warned this man can eat for England so under no circumstances should you even suggest he goes anywhere near the buffet table until your guest have had the opportunity to have their fill.
Justin
Having joined us in 2009 Justin has been an inspirational addition. He started DJ'ing in 1989 and has been DJ'ing and singing ever since at some of the most prestigious wedding venues in the South West. He is the proud owner of an SAE (School of Audio Engineering) diploma in Audio Engineering and covers a mixed range of music styles, including R&B, Pop, Rock, Swing, Disco, Retro 80's & 90's and interactive Karaoke if required.
A superb all round DJ with spectacular singing skills so if you are looking for a combination of a wedding singer and DJ Justin is certainly the man for you. A multi talented entertainer with the skills to make any event a real success with years of experience in quality family entertainment.
Oz Kahn
Oz is an experienced DJ who has arrived to work with us from South Africa. Having worked out there for 9 years he has just hit the UK scene offering his unique blend of Asian contemporary style mixed in with cultured classics. His strengths lie in the wedding and live events scene focusing on the diverse Asian population.
With an infectious personality you will find Oz a friendly guy to work with coupled with the knowledge and skill set to manage culture specific or mixed culture events. He can quite easily carry all the sound selections for your occasion on his own, but will equally enjoy working with you to play your special songs or create a specific atmosphere during the event.
Ash D
Ash is the eldest of three brothers all of whom are DJ’s and is a confident talented member of the team, with a strong musical and technical background he is a popular choice of DJ across all party styles. Always in demand with many of our repeat clients Ash delivers consistent quality performances.
Ash has been at the forefront during the development of the company and his contribution has made it what it is today. After finishing his A-levels he launched his own property development company and unfortunately 2008 will probably be the last year we will be able to call on his services. However being the consummate professional he is I am sure if we need his help it would be forthcoming.
Clive
Clive and Shirley, our children party specialists because entertaining children is an art. Weddings are a long day for small children and it is not in their nature to be sat down for long periods. We have developed entertainment packages that will keep the younger children occupied throughout the speeches and any other time when a little quiet is required.
We entertain the children with fun activities to choose from such as balloon modelling, magical shows, dancing, action songs and games.
