| Party Ideas:
Invitations:
Invitations are very important in any party
that's thrown because a good invitation
can make people want to come to the party.
Make the invitation amusing by adding things
like RSVP to the headmaster or detentions will
be given for not replying. Make the invitation
look like a blackboard or use background images
of your old school.
Transport:
Many of the school bus services
are privately run and it is really quite
reasonable to hire one of these buses to
do a local round trip at agreed pickup points.
Guests are usually quite happy to contribute
towards this as it eliminates expensive taxis
and adds to the fun of the evening. (Don’t
forget to reserve the back seat)
Head Boy & Girl:
Choose a head boy and girl for the evening
and let then help you organise the event.
On the arrival of your guest have the school
matron welcome them at the door.
Homework & Exams:
Put together a school trivia quiz, teachers
names, events, subject or school outings.
Call it homework or an exam paper and leave
them scattered around on tables.
Nostalgia:
Try to get a good collection of old school
photographs together and post them on a blackboard.
With a little effort it is possible to track
down a few of your old teachers, invite them
as well they are usually delighted to attend
and see how their handy work turned out.
Venue:
In these days of best value most schools will
allow private hire of their school halls
and what better place to hold you’re
School Disco. You can use a mobile bar and
they will take care of all the licensing
arrangements if you want to sell alcohol.
